It’s official. The Steam Summer Gateway Sale has begun! For a lot of PC gamers, the annual Steam summer sale is a major event, where they can get a lot of games on the cheap.
The sale goes from July 11 – 22 and discounts will range from ten to ninety percent off. The discounts vary from day-to-day, even hour to hour as they hold “flash” sales as well. No game is safe, which means any game can go on sale at any time.
I didn’t get a chance to save up and buy all of the games that have or will go on sale, but I did manage to pick up a couple on the first day. I picked up Borderlands 2 for 66% off ($10.66) and the old Postal game for 75% off ($1.24). Yes, the Postal game that Uwe Boll desecrated on the movie screen. Okay, so Postal wasn’t a gem of a game to start with, but Uwe Boll desecrates everything that he touches.
Other games that are currently on sale include Bioshock Infinite, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Don’t Starve, Defiance, Hotline Miami, Left 4 Dead 2, and dozens of others. If you are a PC gamer, there is no excuse why you should miss this chance to get some games that cost as much as what you could find in your couch.
If you pick up Borderlands 2, send me a friend request on Steam. You can me hit me up under the name “Mortisaurus.”
