First off, let me get this out of the way – I am a HUGE Diaz brothers fan. Point blank, you will not find a person who loves to watch these guys fight more than me. After watching last night’s fight, I think Nick should’ve won the split decision because he won the first 3 rounds. Now that I got that out of the way, some of you MMA fans are fucking stupid. This was in no way a robbery if you look at the fight metric Carlos actually out landed Nick. If another person says Carlos ran, they need to have their right to watch MMA revoked, plain and simple.
THIS IS A SPORT YOU BLOODTHIRSY, DUMB NEANDERTHALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Condit’s job was not to stand in front of Diaz and play Rock’em Sock’em Robots – HE WOULD LOSE. So you know what he did? Move away and hit Nick and not get into a fire fight. This is the problem I have with MMA fans – they think everyone should just stand in front of each other and throw bombs. A fighter’s job is to win. I love this sport, but some of you fans make me want to start watching golf or something you bunch of dumb asses.
- Hopefully Nick isn’t really retiring – I don’t think he is I think he was just frustrated because he thought he won.
- Fabricio Werdum looked great against Big Country his Muay Thai was on point .
- Josh Koscheck and Mike Pierce was not the greatest fight, but hopefully it pushes Josh into a fight with Carlos.
- Renan Barao whooped Scott Jorgensen’s ass but I don’t think he beats Dominik Cruz or Urijah Faber.
- Clifford Starks and Ed Herman was a really fun fight. They were throwing bombs.
- So, Herb Dean screwed Bruce Leroy because if it wasn’t for the 2 point deduction he would have won that fight easily.
Like we always do at this time, here’s some good old fashioned violence -my favorite Diaz fight ever, period.

ive watched the fight a couple times too i still have it for nick that being said i still can see how you can give 1,3,and 4 to carlos it was a really close fight but it also showed me that nick diaz is completely fucked if someone dosn't play his game and just stand in front of him he couldn't cut off the cage and ate a crazy amount of leg kicks it was like he was waiting for carlos to do what he wanted him to do
Cecil Peoples has been and always will be a piece of shit. I def gave Diaz the first and second Jason. He had octagon control and was connecting.
I've now watched the fight 4 times and I still think Nick won 1,2,5 my real beef is with the judges

That's a serious question, 'what if he didn't walk forward'? It's a 5 round fight, I'm sure Jackson would have thought of something to change it up. Diaz looked completely incapable of changing his game plan up. If you're going to "mock and stalk" like Diaz, you'd damn well better learn how to cut off the cage. Carlos showed diversity in both his tactics and his strikes. Diaz showed that if you can avoid getting baited into a slugfest, you can beat him. That's the game.
You guys are all making excellent points and have solid arguments. Rumors are already swirling with the possibility of a rematch. While I think the Condit/GSP match will be great to see the $$$ in a Diaz/Condit rematch is too easy to pass up.
It wasnt about not walking forward it was about using nick's style against hime nick walks forward and ia extreamly easy to hit if you dont fall into a brawl with him it was smart way to fight

OK but what if they rematch and now as a 'tactic' nick diaz decides to collect his 200k and not walk forward, what then?
You can't base a decision on what would have happened. Fact is, he knew Diaz would come forward and he countered him. Not engage? He outlanded him in strikes. I guess coming forward and missing counts for more in some peoples eyes than it should. Ali fought going backwards all the time.

that said the real problem is some of the judges. you saw their scores. in that sense it was a robbery. but i've said a lot about this subject but i wont claim it's a robbery. good day to you.
lets not even argue that. What if Nick decided to not chase his opponent all night. then what? sport dead go home. there has to be an amendment to have both fighters engage. I've watchedthe fight twice now and in condit was not engadging. I actually thought condit one based on striking and techinically (maybe who really knows?!?!?) octagon control. But Nick couldve easily won. it was that close.
i can see your point to me round 1 2 and 3 were for nick with round 4 and 5 going to carlos although i can see round 3 goin for carlos
I agree that mma fans are silly. I disagree with Nick winning the fight. In no way did he win that fight. Maybe round 2 and maybe round 5, but in 5 he got the takedown so I guess that was something. Otherwise, Carlos fought a clean, smart fight.
