UFC on Fox 2 : Thoughts and Analysis

So the UFC on Fox 2 card happened this past weekend and I must say I enjoyed it, which strangely puts me in the minority. A lot of MMA fans have overreacted that the fights on the main card weren’t amazing, and they weren’t, but they were relevant. The main event between Phil Davis and Rashad Evans went exactly how I thought it would with Rashad showing that he was a far better MMA wrestler than Davis is right now. And before anyone bags on Phil Davis  the dude has only had 7 fights and is still developing. Not every big black guy is Jon Jones. Overall I’m not sure if this card brought in any new fans but I’m not sure if that is even needed now that MMA is mainstream. Not every Fox card needs to bring in a billion new fans.

• I thought Micheal Bisping won his fight with Chael Sonnen he clearly won the first and second round
• So once again Chael acts like this is pro wrestling. His promo was ripped off from Superstar Billy Graham
• The Maia vs Weidman fight confused me since I had no idea what Maia’s game plan was. While he is probably the best jiu-jitsu guy in the UFC I don’t know why he decided to have a sloppy kick boxing match.
• Evan Dunham an Nik Lentz was a really fun fight
• Charles Oliveira pulled of a calf slicer which was nothing short of dope

And now for some good old fashion violence from Siyar  Bahadurzada aka The Killer
