UFC 142 like the last UFC: Rio was a incredibly epic night topped off by Jose Aldo absolutely killing Chad Mendes dead. Over Aldo’s last 2 fights questions arose that he had lost his killer instinct even though he won his two previous fights. Well all those questions were to put rest when he hit Mendes with a beautiful knee and followed up with punches cementing himself as the best 145lb. fighter on the planet. Then after the fight Jose runs out into the crowd and celebrates. It was by far one of the coolest moments in MMA I’ve ever witnessed. Hopefully with Jose Aldo showing that he is still just as bad ass as he ever was. People need to pay more attention to the lighter weight classes!
- I know I’m in the minority but I am a little bummed Rumble got cut. Granted he missed weight but he is still a pretty good fighter. I’m sure he will be back in the UFC. Hopefully he will have his weight problem fixed.
- Vitor had a good showing and got a huge crowd reaction
- Rousimar Palhares is a freaking leg locking animal
- Mario Yamasaki should never be allowed to ref again! It was clear Eric Silva should have been stopped and had a point deducted. Don’t wait till the fight ends and all of a sudden be like “ oh yea you think you won nope you are disqualified”
- Edson Barbosa, this is really all I have to say
- Seriously if you haven’t watched that video smack your self twice
