Marvel Marries Print & Digital in 2012

As more of us embrace mobile tech on a daily basis we lose sight of the days where we would sit down with a stack of comics and catch up with some our favorite heroes. As more readers migrate to consuming comics on mobile devices publishers are doing their best to accommodate these new readers. When DC comics launched the new 52 we saw the potential for print and digital to coexist due to same day print and digital releases. Marvel will be taking it one step further giving hardcopy customers copies of the purchases in digital format for the exciting price of FREE! Readers will be able to view their recently purchased books on the Marvel comics app available for iOS and Android devices . Readers purchasing Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #6 in January will be able to get started right away. To ensure that no one steals these codes the issues will be polybagged. New story arcs for Ultimate X-Men & The Ultimates will help move the initiative along. It’s a great time to be a comic book reader.
