Let me go on record as saying that I am a huge Lion King fan. It is but one of the few hand drawn animation films from Disney that I can watch a thousand times and not get tired of it . Disney will be be bringing this instant classic to Blu-ray on October 4th. Lion King 3D will be available as a four disc combo pack and also in an eight disc Lion King Trilogy set.
To celebrate this release Disney will also be rereleasing the Lion King in theaters in Disney Digital 3D on September 16th for a limited two week engagement. Making it a great opportunity to the conversion to 3D first hand.
This will be a great time for the newer generation of kids to acquaint themselves with this Disney classic.
