TNA World Championship: Sting(c) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson
The one thing I will give credit to TNA, is that they know to give hints and tease potential heel turns very well, even if it is sometimes predictableobvious.
In this case, both Anderson and RVD could turn heel easily, even if it looks like TNA consider Anderson a tweener and not a proper faceheel and he “declined” Immortal’s offer. But it could be a work, easily.
As for RVD, anything can happen, I wouldn’t mind seeing RVD as a proper Heel, especially after his really dull face run.
Winner:
Sting. Unless RVD turns heel, picks up the title to push for a longer feud with Sting as a proper heel.
Lethal Lockdown: Immortal (Ric Flair, Abyss, Bully Ray & Matt Hardy) vs. Fortune (Kaz, Christopher Daniels, James Storm & Robert Roode)
The most interesting match on the card no doubt about it. As much as I dislike Abyss, Hardy and even Ray (as a heel), I think this match really define with almost irony how the TNA talents are the important thing in this company unlike all the really bad talents TNA brought with money over the past few years.
On that note, it looks to me that Daniels could turn on Fortune, the way Flair and Hogan were doing their segments with him, it looks like there is something perhaps to think about. Obviously, we could see Styles returning and savinghelping Fortune with the closing moments, especially if Daniels will actually turn on Fortune.
Winners:
Regarding the actual result, I’m not sure really. It looks like TNA is really pushing Immortal to go over everything with the story, but “fail to deliver” with the “results” so I’m keeping that in mind when I pick Fortune picking up the win with Daniels turning on Fortune.
Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett:This whole feud was ok at best, with a lot of really bad written and produced moments. Thankfully, it will be over soon. Wrestling wise, this could be a really good match nonetheless, I think seeing Jarret hopefully will undersell his “character” to give the match a more evened pace.
Winner:
Kurt Angle. Angle’s agreement to go with this entire angle to give Jarret the entire momentum for his heel character was the right. And with that in mind, the big and important PPV, Angle will win after “jobbing” to Jarret a few PPV’s in a row.
TNA Knockouts Title, Title vs. Hair: Madison Rayne(c) vs. Mickie James
To me, TNA will not do another Hair angle since they had it before, it was just to give something to really justify giving James the title after all that time. I seriously doubt that James agreed to go with this angle, but hey, it is TNA. Anything bad can happen.
Winner:
Mickie James.
Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan:Speaking of feuds that are still going that were bad since day one. Matt Morgan Vs Hernandez is another feud that just needs to stop. Period.
The size similarities is the only reason this feud even started since Abyss and Terry that are heels at the moment, and there isn’t really another big man in TNA (besides Crimson) that could be in that class. Sadly, it leaves us with another horrible match on paper (all their matches were really bad, with a lot of botches). Hopefully, it will end fast.
Winner:
Well, since Hernandez got the win at the last PPV with a really ridicules moment, Morgan will probably will get this win to even the count.
“The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero vs. Samoa Joe
I cannot believe TNA is still doing this feud, it was really bad and dull since day one. I cannot even think of the who will pick up the win since basically there was almost nothing built properly there.
Winner:
Samoa Joe. Pope picking the win with a classic Heel move seems really redundant to me at this point.
X Division Xscape Match:
Amazing Red vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Chris Sabin vs. Jay Lethal vs. Jeremy Buck vs. Max Buck vs. Robbie E vs. Suicide
With almost no “story” build to this match, I can only hope it will be a proper wrestling match unlike some of the matches that are in this PPV. The only real banter is between Max and Jeremy which was pretty obvious that it would happen. But it is a good thing to split them into the X-Division division since both of them can have separate feuds.
Winner:
My guess is that the winner will be Max Buck. His small feud with Jeremy looks like a decent way as mentioned, to split them into the division, and with that, put Max in a feud with Kazarian, and probably against Jeremy eventually if Max will pick up the title someday.
Ink, Inc. vs. Crimson & Scott Steiner vs. Orlando Jordan & Eric Young vs. Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams.
The fact that this match is a 4 tag team bout instead of any one on one tag team out of the bunch, is reliving to be honest. Besides Magnus and Williams, all of the other tag teams are just tacked on for a while in the case of Ink Inc and Jordan and Young while the horrible teaming of Crimson and Steiner is just a bad decision to even continue that after the whole fortune Vs. immortal thing happened.
Really hard to predict this result mainly because Ink Inc already got some title shots, Jordan and Young are kind of faces in a weird way, and Williams and Magnus does not even get any “negative” reaction from the crowd even if they are heels. Same goes for Ink Inc.
Winners:
Williams and Magnus. Just because I think TNA would like to give Beer Money a really obvious Heel Vs Face feud unlike Moore and Neal and their banter with the heel turn.
