On MTR #85 I had the pleasure of being joined by the crew of Future Endeavors to discuss Wrestlemania 27. I was also joined by my colleagues Myst & Bryan Bronx. Below you will see the picks for our respective brands. Agree or Disagree? Let us hear it-Rich
Bronx’s Picks
With Wrestlemania only 3 days away, you know damn well MTR will be here with their fight predictions, of course.
We got three of us this time, possibly with varying results, so I’ll start it off and then my cohorts can take it away.
Here are my top decisions; I wouldn’t bet money though, haha.
Edge (c) (with Christian) vs. Alberto Del Rio (with Brodus Clay)
Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
I Believe Del Rio is going to take this match, because they didn’t give this guy such a major push this year only to see him drop the ball and lose his steam.
He will be a top heel for months to come, with Edge vying for that top spot.
Personally, I like that idea.
The Miz (c) vs. John Cena Singles match for the WWE Championship.
The Miz retains the title, here’s why:
Aside from possible interference from Alex Riley in any number of ways, the Rock will no doubt smack the shit out of John Cena, creating their own ongoing beef that will undoubtedly carry over into the next Major event, Summerslam.
Rock vs. Cena MUST happen, it is in the cards, if it does not, fans will outrage.
They are two of the biggest stars ever and it’s just inevitable.
Triple H vs. The Undertaker No Holds Barred match.
Undertaker will never lose this streak, this is the match where I go get food, or drinks or use the bathroom because it is so damned predictable and boring.
Taker can’t move for shit anymore and he only wrestles when it’s time to set up the next big PPV, fuck his face, I hope this is his last match.
Him being the Bad ass Outlaw, or whatever the fuck he calls himself lately is totally fucking lame.
Dead Man or GTFO.
Preferably, GTFO already.
Expect a kick from Michaels; by the way….Yawn…..
Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole (with Jack Swagger) Singles match with
special guest referee Steve Austin.
Aside from Austin being in this, I honestly do not give a flying fuck about this match at all.
I pay good money to see wrestlers fight, not fucking announcers.
Lawler will win, guaranteed. Cole’s been beating his ass for weeks with the aid of Swagger.
With any luck, Stone Cold will stun Cole and accidentally kill him.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk Singles match.
This is going to be a good fight, I can feel it.
Orton has lost that juice weight, so he’s limber now and Punk can move around a ring like a cat.
I expect this one to be a good lengthy match too, with Orton winning via a punt kick to Punk’s brain.
Interference, of course, but Orton will prevail.
Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes Singles match.
This can go either way, I don’t care much for either person, but if I had to take a pick, I’d go with Mysterio, but I feel they will push Cody as a heel, so there’s that.
Fuck this match.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Trish Stratus and John Morrison vs. Dolph
Ziggler and LayCool (Layla and Michelle McCool) (with Vickie Guerrero)
6-person mixed tag team match.
This is another match where I go get a beer or masturbate to animal planet.
I honestly don’t give a flying fuck about it, hopefully it’s short.
Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan Singles match for the United States
Championship.
Have you seen Daniel Bryan? HAHA.
Normally, I’d say Sheamus all the way, I mean, it’s just physics , but it won’t happen, Bryan will take it because Sheamus has quite possibly pissed someone off so bad in WWE that he went from the top tier heel with the title to fighting nobody’s like Bryan for a second tier title.
He must have fucked someone’s sister.
Bryan is good though, just doesn’t have the LOOK, but whatever, if Chris Benoit can be a champ with that mug, anyone can.
Let’s just hope Bryan doesn’t make his kids tap out.
What? Too soon? It’s been years!!
Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, and Vladimir Kozlov (with Tamina) vs.
The Core (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel, and Heath
Slater) 8-man Tag Team match
This can go either way, but since they need to push the Core a bit, I’d put my money on them to win it.
Personally, I want the faces to win, because I like Santino and Vladimir together, they make for good, funny TV, but it can go either way, and I would say the Core takes it in the end, by cheating, no less.
Let’s see how right I am come Sunday, I’m hoping for the best, but my predictions stand as is for now.
