Fedor Emelianenko is a name that for the last few years has been synonymous with “the gold standard” for heavyweight fighters. Fast, Strong, Submissions, Sambo and KO Power are the words used to describe this emotionless phenom, and with good reason. Fedor comes into this bout poised to claim another victim and show the UFC why he is the baddest man on the planet. Brett “The Grim“Rogers comes off a KO victory over former UFC Heavyweight Champ Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, and with serious KO power and Muay Thai skills at his disposal he has something to prove.

Showtime debuts their inside look at the training and lifestyles of these very different fighters leading to their clash on 11/7 on CBS. Whether you are a fan of the UFC or MMA in general this is a fight that can’t be missed and most of all it’s free.

I have a feeling Fedor will win but I hope Rogers pulls the upset so the slobbery can stop.

I think that Rogers has the chance to shock the world and if he does it will humanize Fedor and crack the mystique that surrounds him. I think Rogers has a shot but has to be patient because Fedor is good at turning opponents mistakes into victories.

Fedor will always look better in promos because the networks hope to draw on his name alone. Unfair yes, but that's just the way it is...and the same can be said for stupid Brock Lesnar's promos. Rude Blockhead mother F'er....tangent, sorry. I hate Sokodjou - he doesnt impress me. Oh, and he looks like The Predator.

The CBS promo was a lot more fair in presentation but still kinda gives it to Fedor ahead of time. Since I already went off on the first vid, all I am gonna say is that I am glad MMA is hitting mainstream television - even if it is CBS.

Fedor will always be made to look the favorite based on his win record. I am sure Strikeforce wants a Fedor victory just to prove how dominant he is and what the UFC missed out on.

Not liking that promo - Fight promos are supposed to be impartial and show the best of what each fighter has to offer. This one showed the strength of Fedor and Rogers and then basically said Fedor is gonna mop the floor with Rogers. Kinda unprofessional to me.

Very good write up! Fedor should be able to take Brett Rogers. Fedor has proven time and time again that he is one of the best fighters in the world. Rogers has a lot of potential, but is still relatively untested, besides that half minute KO over Arlovski. It will be an interesting fight, but I think Fedor will take it in the 2nd, possibly early in the 3rd round by TKO.

Mayhem vs. Shields will also be a good fight. I'm pulling for Mayhem on this one. I like him a lot, but I know Shields is the favorite.

Mousasi should be able to take care of Sokodjou, and I'm picking Bigfoot Silva over Werdum.
