My Take Radio — Episode 13-The Deadliest Episode

On this weeks episode of MTR I was joined by Dead­liest War­rior hosts Max Geiger & Geoff Desmoulin who dis­cussed Dead­liest War­rior sea­son one as well as gave us some insight on the upcom­ing sec­ond sea­son. Max and Geoff shared some great sto­ries and pro­vided greater under­stand­ing to some of the battles.

Out of every­thing we talked about I was sur­prised how hard the Al-Qaeda v IRA episode was on the cast.Max took the oppur­tu­nity to edu­cate us on the impact that land­mines have on civil­ians caught in these dan­ger­ous war­zones. He shared the Adopt A Mind­field site which is a great orga­ni­za­tion. The Cam­paign helps save lives by rais­ing funds for mine clear­ance, mine risk edu­ca­tion, and sur­vivor assis­tance rang­ing from phys­i­cal reha­bil­i­ta­tion to voca­tional train­ings and psy­choso­cial sup­port. AAM also engages in advo­cacy ini­tia­tives to fos­ter aware­ness about the impact of land­mines, clus­ter bombs, and all explo­sive rem­nants of war.
